VATICAN'S SEXUAL ABUSE RECORD AND THE POPES

It seems like there is barely a day that goes by without more charges of sexual abuse aimed at the Vatican, and now at the Pope. This article will look at the problem and its obvious solution, allowing priests to eneter into normal heterosexual marriage. Catholic parents who do not demand this only encourage the rape of their boys (and sometimes girls) by priests and higher Church officials. On Figure 1 the axis term is POPE. One skip off its skip is VATICAN. There are four terms at special case skips. They are at skip -1 TO PERVERT, TO CONTAMINATE in the open text, CATHOLIC at skip -1 and SEXUAL at skip -1.

STATISTICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF FIGURE 1. As per my standard protocol, no statistical significance is assigned to the axis term, here the 113th lowest ELS of POPE. Normally an ELS rank that high is a show stopper unless there are 3 or 4 a priori key words at special case skips (+/- 1 or the absolute skip of the axis term) - and preferably some of them are 5 letters in length (or more). This matrix qualifies. At special case skips are TO PERVERT at skip -1,TO CONTAMINATE in the open text, CATHOLIC at skip -1 and SEXUAL at skip -1. Of these TO PERVERT,  TO CONTAMINATE and CATHOLIC are 5 letters in Hebrew. While not at a special case skip under my protocol, VATICAN is one off the skip of the axis term which allows its letters to appear touching each other but only diagonally. The most significant key word was CATHOLIC. Before dividing combined odds by 113 to account for ELS rank 113 of the axis term, CATHOLIC was found at a special case skip against odds of about 162 to 1.

       TO CONTAMINATE was in the open text against odds of about 54 to 1. This particular term applies to being sexually contaminated. My wife suggested looking for pervert (noun) or TO PERVERT (verb). To my surprise it was found at a special case skip against odds of about 46.8 to 1. VATICAN was found against odds of about 15.2 to 1 and SEXUAL was found at a special case skip against odds of about 5.5 to 1. No extra value was assigned for the fact that TO CONTAMINATE is directly above CATHOLIC or the fact that the two terms touch at four letters. But it is worth noting because structures like this suggest Intelligent design. Overall, after dividing combined odds of 113, the matrix was found against odds of about 308,502 to 1.

       I would have liked to have seen Francis named on the matrix, but this crisis is not unique to him although the specific charge in the news is that Pope Francis knew about, and ignored, accusations of sexual abuse against a now-disgraced American cleric, specifically former Cardinal Theodore E. McCarrick who was previously the Archbishop of Washington, D.C. Pope John Paul II appointed McCarrick Archbishop of Washington in November 2000. On February 21, 2001, John Paul made him a cardinal, assigning him as cardinal priest to the titular church of Ss. Nerei e Achilleo. He was one of the cardinal electors who participated in the 2005 papal conclave that selected Pope Benedict XVI.

       With respect to Pope Benedict XVI (who resigned, but who still lives in the Vatican) Wikipedia states:

In March 2010, the Pope sent a Pastoral Letter to the Catholic Church in Ireland addressing cases of sexual abuse by Catholic priests to minors, expressing sorrow, and promising changes in the way accusations of abuse are dealt with.^[162] Victim groups claim the letter failed to clarify if secular law enforcement has priority over canon law confidentiality pertaining to internal investigation of abuse allegations.^{[163][164][165][166]} The Pope then promised to introduce measures that would 'safeguard young people in the future' and 'bring to justice' priests who were responsible for abuse.^[151] In April, the Vatican issued guidelines on how existing Church law should be implemented. The guideline dictates that "Civil law concerning reporting of crimes... should always be followed."^[167] The guideline was intended to follow the norms established by U.S. bishops, but it does not require the reporting of "allegations" or crimes where reporting is not required by law.[168]

THE FIX NEEDED.

       My older son is an orthodox rabbi. When he was 22 year old with a B.S. in geophysics from M.I.T. and in yeshiva (rabbinical school) at Ohr Somayach in Monsey, New York, he told me that he would be married in three months. I asked him about who he would marry. He told me, "I don't know, but it will be arranged by the school."  I wanted the school to wait until to wait until he was within a year of graduating from the 4-year program so he could support a family, but the school paid no attention to me. My son said that the school wanted its students married before they turned 23. I sort of understood that it was not healthy for men to share sleeping quarters, as was the case at Ohr Somayach. But I wished that my son had skipped the M.I.T. degree and gone straight to his rabbinical degree. Let me make one recommendation to Orthodox, but not ultra Orthodox familes who have a son interested in having their son study for the rabbinate. Under no circumstances should you allow your son to attend Ohr Somayach in Monsey, New York. They have a record of destroying families.        In checking for what the Talmud has to say about the need for rabbis to be married I found that the real concern was about single men being with students - something that is a real problem in the Catholic religion. However the reasoning was not exactly what I thought it would be. In Talmud Kiddushin 82a we read:

GEMARA: What is the reason that a bachelor may not teach children? If we say it is due to the children themselves, that it is suspected that he may engage in homosexual intercourse with them, but isn’t it taught in a baraita (Tosefta 5:10): They said to Rabbi Yehuda: Jews are not suspected of engaging in homosexual intercourse nor of engaging in intercourse with an animal. Rather, the reason is as follows: A bachelor may not be a teacher of children due to the mothers of the children, who come to the school from time to time, with whom he might sin. Similarly, a woman may not serve as a teacher to children because she may come to be secluded with the fathers of the children.

       Sadly, there are Jews who are homosexuals. But at least by tradition our pressure on prospective rabbis has been to get married. This discourages homosexuals from entering the Orthodox rabbinate (though Reform and Conservative branches of really, heresies from Judaism permit them). By contrast, the Catholic pressure to discourage normal sexual behavior for its priests, thus turning the priesthood into a sanctuary for homosexuals. Therefore, it is not much of a reach to suspect that if a man chooses to be a Catholic priest, he is likely a homosexual. This is not true for other branches of Christianity. Is the suspecion just given about Catholic priests warranted? Here is what Wikpedia reveals:

Studies find it difficult to quantify specific percentages of Roman Catholic priests who have a homosexual orientation (either openly gay or closeted).^[7] Nevertheless, several studies suggest that the incidence of homosexuality in the Roman Catholic priesthood is much higher than in the general population as a whole.^[8][9]

Studies by Wolf and Sipe from the early 1990s suggest that the percentage of priests in the Catholic Church who admitted to being gay or were in homosexual relationships was well above the national average for the United States.^[10] Elizabeth Stuart, a former convener of the Catholic Caucus of the Lesbian and Gay Christian movement claimed, "It has been estimated that at least 33 percent of all priests in the RC Church in the United States are homosexual."^[11]

The John Jay Report suggested that "homosexual men entered the seminaries in noticeable numbers from the late

1970s through the 1980s",^[12] and available figures for homosexual priests in the United States range from 15–58%.^[7][13]

       We have a principle in Judaism that teaches the importance of public appearance. How does it work? Let's say that an Orthodox Jewish man (dressed in ultra-Orthodox style) is driving on I-95 and he has to go to a bathroom. He has a choice. He could stop at a rest stop where there is nothing but toilets and perhaps some candy machines, or get off at an exist and go into a Burger King. At the public rest stop there are no meals, but at the Burger King there are lots of un-kosher foods (including pork products) and no kosher meals. He would naturally choose the public rest stop, in large part because to enter the Burger King might means that he would appear to people as endorsing its food for Jews. An enemy might even snap a picture of him and use it to try to damage his family reputation. Of course, if there is no choice he may be forced to use the Burger King bathroom. The issue here is about when he has choice.  Likewise, if an establishment has a 58% homosexual clientele, then to go there for a meal may imply that such behavior is acceptable. The above John Ray Report indicates that the percent of Catholic priests who are homosexual may be as high as 58%. That the Church authorities repeatedly transfer rather than dismiss abusive homosexual priests should indicate to Church attendants that they would be better off choosing a Christian domination that is free from this massive problem.

        The stories of homosexual attacks on young boys has reached an epidemic level. Unless there is a change of doctrine that allows priests to marry women there will be no reform, only more attacks. Catholicism is a religion that, like the rest of Christianity, has branched off from Judaism. It would be wise for them to learn something from us. Certainly it should not hide or transfer pedophile criminals. If they fail to make these changes then Catholics should vote with their feet and the wallets and find another religion that is not as dangerous to their children.

FIGURE 2 AND CARDINAL ROGER MAHONY. On 3/12/2013 the Los Angeles Archdiocese settled a sex abuse law suit for $10,000,000. The suit was based on what happened when their cardinal was Roger Mahony cast a vote for the next pope. Sometimes when I look for a name I think I find it in the Code, but on a second check I reject a spelling used because of a typo. Some typos are fatal, but not all, This matrix is the second kind. I wanted the Hebrew letters for the simplest transliteration of ROGER. Resh gimel resh filled the bill. This was to be followed by MAHONY spelled mem hey vuv nun yud. But what I typed by accident was mem hey nun nun yud. It is a transliteration for Mahony, but with a double nun (like in Mahonny) it’s not as good as the spelling with a vav. The misspell requires a cholem vowel (never shown in Torah) over the hey for the O sound.  But, getting by this problem, we have as the axis term ROGER MAHONY.  The axis term appears with three a priori key words at special case skips (+/-1 or the absolute skip of the axis term). They are CARDINAL at the same skip as his name, and VATICAN plus GAY (literally HOMO) at skip -1. Mahony is not the only cardinal carrying this type of luggage to the election. The United Kingdom’s Cardinal Keith O'Brien also resigned over similar charges there.

STATISTICAL (AND REAL WORLD) SIGNIFICANCE OF FIGURE 2. As per my standard protocol, no statistical significance is assigned to the axis term, here ROGER MAHONY at its lowest skip in (wrapped) Torah with the spelling used, but only at its 13th lowest skip with both spellings sought. The operable ELS is therefore 13. This downgrade is taken at the end of the calculation. Of greatest significance on the matrix is the word VATICAN at skip -1. Odds against it appearing at a special case skip were about 478 to 1. The next most significant term was CARDINAL. In checking four Hebrew synonyms for the term, the odds against one appearing at a special case skip (here the absolute skip of the axis term) were about 30 to 1. With these two a priori terms a case can be made for the idea that the Torah pre-recorded the fact that a ROGER MAHONY would be chosen by the VATICAN to be a CARDINAL. The question here centers on the word HOMO (GAY) that like VATICAN is at skip -1. It appeared on the matrix at a special case skip against odds of about 7 to 1. The combined odds, after factoring in the axis term rank, indicate that the matrix was found against odds of about 8,088 to 1. However, given the ELS rank 13 being used here, it's hard to make a real Torah Code case that this guy was predicted to be either gay or someone who supports abusive priests. The issue here for Catholics is that this cardinal is not alone in being accused of siding with abusive priests rather than protecting altar boys or under age girls from rape (see statistics).

       The issue is not just about Cardinal Mahony. It goes right to Pope Benedict XVI who does the world a favor by resigning. He too has been accused of coming to the aid of abusive priests, and although he has apologized, the abuse is so widespread that only a fundamental change in Catholic doctrine can offer Catholics hope of cleansing their defiled religion. As I indicated with Figure 1, That change can only occur when they not only allow, but actually require their priests to be married (not to men, but to women).

FIGURE 3 - POPE BENEDICT XVI RESIGNS. On Figure 3 the axis term is POPE but the ELS rank is 6 (it was 113 on Figure 1). At the same absolute skip is RESIGNATION. With it in the area with a white background is an ELS of the short form of the Hebrew year (5773/2013). Also at an ELS is EDOM (implying Rome) and GAY (homosexual). Odds against all this being in the area with the white background were about 477 to 1 with RESIGNATION at a special case skip (+/-1 or the absolute skip of the axis term) being most important and EDOM least significant (being almost certain to be there). When the size of the matrix is expanded from the white background (702) letters to include the area with the light blue background too for a total of 1,218 letters, we pick up the words VATICAN and SICK.

STATISTICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF FIGURE 3. At best, the section of the matrix with the white background seems predictive that a pope would resign in 2013. As per my standard protocol, no statistical significance is assigned to the axis term, here POPE at its 6th lowest skip in Torah. The most significant a priori term is RESIGNATION. Before downgrade for the rank 6 of the axis term, there was about 1 chance in 412 that it would be at a special case skip on the smaller (white background) matrix. This drops to 1 chance in 250 for the full matrix. None of the other terms were at a special case skip, so they could only be evaluated via Roffman Skip Formula and Skip Tables. On the smaller matrix the year of the resignation (5773/2013) appeared against odds of about 6.75 to 1. EDOM was virtually certain to there. It essentially added no real value. Ditto for HOMO. After downgrade for ELS rank 6 of the axis term, the smaller matrix appeared against odds of about 477 to 1. On the larger matrix the word SICK (one of two synonyms checked for it) added no real value (which means that its presence here does not necessarily support health as a reason for resignation). Only VATICAN was of interest, appearing against odds of about 6.77 to 1. The final value of the full matrix was that it appeared against odds of about 686 to 1.

A PERSONAL NOTE ABOUT THIS POPE. John Moody, Executive Vice President, Executive Editor at Fox News and a former Vatican correspondent and Rome bureau chief for Time magazine wrote of Pope Benedict XVI that “he never had a chance.” He goes on to say that,

“Benedict faced nearly impossible odds, even before he was elected. Joseph Ratzinger -- his given name -- was already white-haired and stooped when he became pope. He was a German of the World War II generation, and as a boy had served, involuntarily, as a member of the Hitler Youth. His last job in Rome as Cardinal Ratzinger was to head the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith – the branch of the Vatican charged with enforcing dogma and rooting out dissent. For that, he was dubbed The Chief Inquisitor and The Rottweiler.”

Moody also says that,

“On his first visit to the U.S. as pope, Benedict offered contrite apologies for the Church’s ham-handed treatment of the U.S. church’s sex scandal involving its priests. Even the pope’s humble mien did not satisfy some, who pronounced him cold and unfeeling toward the plight of victims of clergy abuse.”

       Frankly, any man that homosexually rapes a boy should not expect to get off withjust  a contrite apology, or transfer to another church. Such men should at the least be castrated. Instead, Catholicism has allowed itself to become the home of the perverts, the champion of help of Nazi war criminals. The name Ratzinger, especially for a German who wore the swastika in World War 2, all too quickly conjures up images of the Ratlines used by the Vatican to help Nazis escape prosecution. Pope Benedict XVI was not a man of God. Rather, he was a man of Hitler who chose to serve him rather than resist him, as we would expect a man chosen to be pope to do.

       Like the rest of the world I have a lot of respect for this man’s predecessor, Pope John Paul II. With him I felt both hope and gratitude after he allowed the Catholic baptism of my older son (now an Orthodox rabbi) to be annulled, although it did require a threatened law suit and Release from Liability to make the historic action happen. But with Ratzinger, I have never felt anything but contempt. Good riddance to him. In 2013 I prayed that he would be replaced by a true man of God. The Catholic Church is full of them. You'll find them filling the pews each Sunday and holiday. They are most often married. But of those who refuse to have a wife and for those who prohibit men of the church to be married, you'll likely find homosexual perversion. The rest of Christianity figured this out a long time ago as did the rabbis of Judaism, who will tell you that the first commandment in the Bible is to be fruitful and multiply, something that pedophile priests will find quite difficult to do. The prohibitions against homosexual conduct are well defined in the Torah, which forms the first part of a Catholic Bible. Any legitimate Church should do more than pay lip service to the lesson of Sodom and Gomorrah, but sadly after 2,000 years the Catholic Church has been unable to learn this lesson.
