STATUES AND STATUTES PROTECTING THEM: CHANGES NEEDED?

This article will look at when statues are appropriate or inappropriate. It will also examine when it’s proper to pull them down or move them to a less offensive viewing area like a museum. The axis term on Figures 1 and 2 are both A. LINCOLN, but for Figure 1 it is as skip +47,284  (ELS rank 4) whereas on Figure 2 the skip is -145,437 (ELS rank 17). The monument on Figure 1 has not yet been attacked. Lincoln is not mounted or standing next to anyone so it's not likely to be very offensive to most people. On Figure 2 the just-freed slave is kneeling before Lincoln with the black man's head close to the President's private parts. In this case, although Lincoln was a hero to most blacks, the positioning of the figures is such that the statue is more appropriate for a history museum than public display outside. On Figure 1 all a priori terms are at skip +1/the open text (best case scenarios). The three most significant terms appear against the following odds: SLAVES (36 to 1), HORSE (26 to 1) and WAR (10.4 to 1). Total odds against Figure 1 were over 5.2 million to 1.

FIGURE 2 above - Although Lincoln freed the slaves, it's easy to understand why blacks feel humiliated by this statue.

FIGURE 2. On this figure the most significant term is one of the two times in Torah that the second of the Ten Commandments is given. It asked us to not make any idols/statues. In this case it's easy to understand. This statue seems to go out of the way to emphasize white superiority. The Emancipation Proclamation, issued on January 1, 1863, called for the enrollment of blacks in the Union Army and Navy. It was contained in an almost offhand passage—fully in keeping with Lincoln's tendency to hint, approach indirectly, and finally, defend the stated policy. I think this statue should be removed by the Government (not by a mob) and replaced with one where Lincoln is portrayed replaced with another image envisioning hints at future black leaders in our military, in our Government and even as astronauts in space. However, sadly, the one black who rose to the White House really belongs in jail for leading an attempted coup against President Trump. Leaving him off the work will cause tremendous turmoil, so perhaps for now the best way to go is to take down this statue, move it to an museum, and pass a resolution to eventually replace it with a work like that I just described, but without funding for it until the day comes when a black patriot successfully completes at least one term of office without selling America out as Obama did when he gave $151.8 billion to Iran.

       Before factoring in the ELS rank of the axis term, odds against DO NOT MAKE AN IDOL OR AN IMAGE being on the matrix are about 249.5 to 1. The second most significant term was SLAVES which is found in the open text against odds of about 50 to 1. WAR is at a non-special case skip against odds of about 14.3 to 1, but CIVIL, which was also found that way, had about a 83% chance to be seen on the matrix. Overall, odds against this matrix were about 12,683 to 1.

MAYBE ISRAEL HAS A BETTER WAY TO GO.

JTA — Israel recently got two new statues of political leaders: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Supreme Court President Miriam Naor.

However, both statues were torn down within hours. For their creators, that was part of the point.

Israel has very few official statues of its leaders — or anyone else for that matter. The statues of Naor and Netanyahu were not erected by the government, but by artists and activists who sought to subvert rather than celebrate their subjects

With respect to Figure 3, Jews neither accept the Nazarene as a Messiah, prophet or deity, so we don't care what color he was. But we do follow the Ten Commandments. The second one states:

You shall not recognize the gods of others in My presence. You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, HaShem your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me, and showing loving kindness to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments. (Exodus 20:3-6)

       That's why Netanyahu's statues get ripped down so fast. To us, statues of people are prohibited on our land and in our homes. A statue of the Nazarene is a god of others. Do Jews ever make statues of people? Only if they are not religious. As for color, we assign no color to the Lord at all. Traditionally, he is a Spirit (which, by the ways, agrees with what the Nazarene had to say in John 4:24). Note that I refer to him as the Nazarene. We don't like to write his name, not out of respect for him, but because millions of Jews were killed in his name. Christians will argue this point, but all we know from history is that the people who murded us (as with the Inquistion and Crusades) were calling themselves Christians.

        As for Figure 3 whether the statue for America is problematic depends upon where it is. If it's on the grounds of a Catholic Church it's an expression of their freedom of religion. From a Jewish point of view it is in violation of the Ten Commandments but only Jews are subject to all ten. For an example, Gentiles are not required to keep the Sabbath (though Seventh Day Adventists will argue with us about this). However, we do see gentiles as bound by the Seven Precepts of Noah, one of which prohibits idols. Catholics try to argue against their statues being idols. Protestants generally agree with Jews that they are idols, and Muslims also agree. Although thoughtful Jews do not approve of statues like that shown in Figure 3, we are not going to attack it or object to it unless it's on Federal land and it's paid for by U.S. tax dollars. The statue says nothing at all to us about color. The Nazarene was a Jew (John 4:22) but we come in all colors. My wife is an Orthodox Jew, and she is an Asian who was born in South Korea. A huge number of Jews in Israel are blacks from Ethiopia. They serve in the Israeli Army as proudly as white Jews do, but people should be aware that there are blacks who call themselves Israelites but they have nothing to do with our religion and they have attacked and killed white Jews. They are extremists of a mindset like those who attack Christian property too.

       Now, is there any indication as to what color the Nazarene really was? Well, here I wanted to be nice to my Christian friends. I was aware that Revelation 1:14-15 has a physical description of him that blacks like to point in order to show that he was black. But, using the Bible Gateway website I discovered something quite disturbing. They offer several translations, which is OK, but one of them is an out and out obvious and very offensive hoax.  First let's look at an expected translation (understanding that the Book of Revelation is generally dated at about 60 years after the Nazarene was executed). The Modern English Version says:

¹⁴ The hair on His head was white like wool, as white as snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire. ¹⁵ His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters.

       So maybe that is a black guy with white wooly hair. There is nothing about the color of his face, only his feet which are brass colored. Now let's compare that with the King James Version (KJV):

¹⁴ His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

¹⁵ And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

        Thus the KJV adds white as the color of his entire head. But it is something that they call "The Orthodox Jewish Bible" that makes me sympathize with those who challenge traditional Christian beliefs. They offer us the following hoax:

¹⁴ And the rosh of him and the hair were lavan (white), like wool, like snow, and the eynayim (eyes) of him were like a flame of eish (fire), [DANIEL 7:9]

¹⁵ And the feet of him were like burnished bronze as if in a furnace having been made to glow, and the kol (voice) of him as the sound of mayim rabbim (many waters). [DANIEL 10:6; YECHEZKEL 1:7,24; 43:2; YESHAYAH 1:20; 49:2; SHOFETIM 5:31]

       Several of the above words are transliterations of Hebrew words, with an English translation after them (lavan, eynayim, kol and mayim rabbim). But the first transliteration (rosh) has no translation after it. The word rosh does mean head. So why is the entire entry a hoax that discredits every offered by Bible Gareway? It's really a new brainer. NO JEWISH BIBLE AND ESPECIALLY NO ORTHODOX JEWISH BIBLE HAS EVEN ONE WORD OF THE NEW TESTAMENT IN IT! THE BOOK OF REVELATION IS ONLY IN THE NEW TESTAMENT. IT IS UTTERLY REJECTED BY JUDAISM. Bible Gateway also offers another translation called "The Complete Jewish Bible" that is another hoax that includes the New Testament. If you are thinking about something called Messianic Judaism or Jews for J..., these people are not accepted as Jews by Israel or by other recognized Jewish sects although there are a growing number of ignorant Jews who know nothing about the religion that they were born into, just like there are a growing number of Americans who know absolutely nothing about American history. 

       What you are seeing here with text is the equivalent of a New Testament that says Mohammed is the real Messiah, or Seal of the Prophets. In reality, no Testament has a single word from the Koran. There is no Mohammed in a New Testament. The truth is that when it comes to the New Testament there is no credible indication of race. If there are black Christians who need a black Nazarene statue then let them have them but leave the white ones alone for the sake of peace. By the way, this web site normally stays away from theology, but if you wonder why we reject the Nazarene as the Messiah it's because we see one major job of a real Messiah - he must end all war on Earth permanently. A promise to bring the sword rather than peace (Matthew 10:34) or division (Luke 12:51) just won't cut it.

WHY THE PHRASE BLACK LIVES MATTER IS AN EXPRESSION OF WHINING, RACIST IGNORANCE.  

      In July, 2015 "Black lives matter!" was a rallying cry of protests that broke out after several black Americans were killed at the hands of police. Maryland  Governor O'Malley responded: "Black lives matter. White lives matter. All lives matter."

       The demonstrators, who were mostly black, responded by booing him and shouting him down. Later that day, O'Malley apologized for using the phrase in that context if it was perceived that he was minimizing the importance of blacks killed by police.

      "I meant no disrespect," O'Malley said in an interview on This Week in Blackness, a digital show. "That was a mistake on my part and I meant no disrespect. I did not mean to be insensitive in any way or communicate that I did not understand the tremendous passion, commitment and feeling and depth of feeling that all of us should be attaching to this issue."

       I don't care what O'Malley's background is but he surely had no right to imply that my life doesn't matter, nor does the rest of my family matter because we were not born black. I am descended from people who lived in Moldova and Poland when there were black slaves in America. There were no blacks in either place at that time unless perhaps they were at an embassy of a nation in Africa. They not only were totally uninvolved in slavery, but they had probably never seen a black person at any point in their lives. Now, my current wife is from South Korea. She reports being terrified the first time that as a child she saw both a Caucasian person and a black person. She converted to Orthodox Judaism when she married me, but clearly none of her ancestors were involved in black slavery in Korea or anywhere else. Nor do we have any ancestors that were  in America when slavery existed, so why in the world should we be lumped in with slave owners or repressors of blacks?

       Should we feel guilty for black treatment? Hell no, but unless they are descended from Army troops who liberated the death camps, maybe they should feel guilty for not helping my ancestors who died in the Holocaust. There were about 6,000,000 of them. Figure 6 is the death certificate for one of the Roffmans in my famly who was murdered by the Nazis.

       By the way, how many blacks were slaves when the Civil War started? Wikipedia states, " The United States Census of 1860 was the eighth Census conducted in the United States starting June 1, 1860, and lasting five months. It determined the population of the United States to be 31,443,322, in 33 states and 10 organized territories. The total population included 3,953,762 slaves." So there over two million more Jews slaughtered in the Holocaust than there were blacks in slavery in our entire nation. The 3.9 million blacks likely were given three square meals per day so they could be productive. In contrast, those of us Jews who were not gassed, burnt alive in crematoria or shot to death in mass graves, mostly starved to death. A plantation, while not fun, would be considered paradise by Jews who died in concentration camps. Nazis used our skin to make lamp shades, and our hair to stuff pillows. They ripped the gold from our teeth after they cremated us. But guess what, we do not go around burning down American or German cities to get revenge. Nor do we blame anyone for our suffering other than the Nazis (although the U.S. State Department under Franklin Roosevelt was famous for keeping Jewish refugees away from America unless they were nuclear physcists needed to win World War II). Blacks who insist that only black lives matter only create people who hate them for saying so. Nobody is perfect, but nobody should have to accept guilt for not being born black. In fact the news reports show that blacks are pulling down statues of whites like Hans Christan Heg who were abolitionists. Jews are only 0.2% of the world's population but we win over 20% of Nobel prizes. Blacks can vastly improve their lots in life by stressing the imporance of families (which should include fathers) and education. But, alas, like Governor O'Malley, I do have one apology to offer my fellow Americans. I apologize for every Jewish Democrat who has given President Trump any trouble since his election.

FIGURE 4 - Axis term EVERYONE MATTERS. The axis term is at minimum skip in Torah (there is another ELS of it at skip -98,576). The 10 Commandments appears twice in Torah, and therefore I used 2 as the frequency of the command to not make or worship STATUE/IDOLS. As such, the odds against it appearing in a 700-letter matrix were about 218 to 1. These odds tied those for BLACKS. There is a reference to ALL WHO GO OUT TO WAR. Odds against a reference to war are about 9 to 1. The statistical significance of the reference BLACKS at skip +1 was about 214 times greater than that of WHITE which was not at a special case skip. So the message of Black Lives Matter is here. But when Lincoln visited Richmond to free the slaves and they bowed to him he told them, "Stand up, you kneel to no one but God. For odds against Figure 4 use the bottom spreadsheet. The odds against this Figure 4 matrix were about 1,079,691 to 1.

The Lincoln Memorial more than honors Lincoln. The Emancipation statue does not. It has a story to tell, but it should do so in the Smithsonian Museum. As for statues of Confederate soldiers for the purpose of national unity they should be displayed in conjunction with Union soldiers. The war is over. In it fathers fought sons and brothers fought brothers. A mixture of armies is meant to remind us that we are again one nation. Whatever anger may linger from blacks they should know that approximately 1 in 10 white men of military age in 1860 died from the conflict. Is there police brutality today? Sometimes. But to tone it down it will certainly help if blacks stop killing so many of their own kind.
