OBAMA'S ECONOMIC FAILURE
AMERICANS NEED MEANINGFUL WORK, NOT WORDS (9/8/2011)
On the matrix below the axis term is the 9-letter phrase FAILURE OF OBAMA. To the right it is ECONOMY. In the open text is DO NO WORK, an appropriate reference to the millions of Americans who comprise the 9.1% unemployment rate. In an effort to reach some of these people with “shovel ready” jobs like road construction, the President did his best to arrange an out of place State of the Union-like speech before a Joint Session of Congress on September 8, 2011. A Gallop poll taken on August 17, 2011 showed that 71% of Americans disapproved of Obama’s handling of the economy, while only 26% approved. As for those "shovel ready jobs," somehow I can't see all the many thousands of scientists and engineers who were thrown out of work when Obama ended the U.S. manned space flight program jumping for joy at the prospect of picking up a shovel to repair a highway. The brightest of America's students (like my son, who is an 18-year old senior majoring in space physics at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University) are likely to see only empty promises in Obama's plainly political speech.
